How to get from Abou Dabi to Fujairah
Here are the main ways to get from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah (an emirate located on the east coast of the United Arab Emirates).
By road (car or taxi)
This is the simplest and fastest option. The distance is approximately 250 to 260 km and the journey usually takes 2½ to 3 hours, depending on traffic and the route taken.
The most common route is via the E11, then the E611, before joining the E84 towards the east coast.
By taxi or private transfer, the journey is direct and comfortable, but the cost can be high, especially for a long inter-emirate journey.
By bus
It is possible to travel by bus, but the journey takes longer.
Buses depart from Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station, usually with a connection in Sharjah (Al Jubail) before continuing on to Fujairah. The total journey time is approximately 5 to 6 hours, depending on the waiting time between buses.
This is the most economical option, but also the slowest.
Other options
Private jet
It is possible to travel from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah by private jet. The flight time is approximately 1 hour, but this option is reserved for high-end customers due to its high cost.
Train (coming soon)
A national passenger rail network is currently being rolled out. Once completed, it will connect Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Fujairah, offering a fast and comfortable alternative to road travel. However, this service is not yet operational.
